The migrant-Balkan explosion

The approaching 81st anniversary of the end of World War II is being marked by the outbreak of new war hotspots, not only with the four-year Russia-Ukraine war, which cannot be ended by diplomatic interventions. We can also add the attack on Israel and their response to the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. This year, we are also witnessing military incursions not only into Israeli territory, but into the entire Arabian Peninsula, allegedly caused by Iran, as it is supposed to stand up for the Palestinians and through military intervention win rights for the Palestinians according to their religious and state leaders.

Of course, military and political analysts can additionally discuss the hidden causes of new military attacks and threats of military invasions of foreign territories and the game of empires. Imperialism is nowadays interpreted as economic, political and cultural control over other countries, which often also uses military intervention. And so we can witness new relationships or measurements of political imperialist domination over other countries. Of course, uninvited or uninvited aid to other countries, outside of registered military blocs, is often used.

Some call for religious unity, others for blocs, and still others use other dividing lines of humanity with all nations, so that humanity would be even more aware of differences in terms of religion, gender, and nationality, or any of the other dividing lines described as fundamental human freedoms in the declarations of the United Nations (UN). The map of countries with inscribed borders between countries is certainly disappearing as a criterion for assessing who is the aggressor and who is the victim of aggression. What is worrying is the appearance of human messenger-rulers, who, even by abusing their status as God's messenger-ruler of the world and the world order, are trying to re-create state borders and expand their political and economic influence, and perhaps also religious influence, to a wider area than they deserve, also at the expense of so-called civilian victims.

Slowly crystallizing with all the crossed state borders by military force and human rights violations, the reduction of general human rights to the rights of migration or the passage of so-called civilians to another peacetime state, legal or illegal, is taking shape. Retreating from a state of war or a dangerous and life-threatening situation in an individual state is thus the only remnant of a set of rules and declarations that are supposed to serve peaceful coexistence between nations and states and respect for human rights regardless of gender, religion, race, ethnicity, and the like. In fact, freedom of speech and expression is also being violated more and more frequently, despite the fact that true facts are being stated.

Such a world-wide conflict culture of coexistence or domination over others or even subjugation and/or enslavement is also known from the increase in migration deadlines, which often also involve illegal entry into foreign countries. The European Union (EU) has long paid the price for peace and non-conflict and respect for human rights with the influx of illegal migrants, especially from the southern hemisphere of our planet.

A good example of the increase in illegal migration in the EU is, for example, the data on illegal migration in Slovenia, which is not the first on the Schengen Balkan border, which is supposed to protect the southern borders of the EU. In the first quarter of 2026, the border police recorded as many as 5,921 illegal entries into the territory of Slovenia. The most numerous illegal migrants are citizens of Afghanistan, Egypt and Bangladesh, as well as Morocco and Turkey. For comparison, in the first quarter of last year, there were less than 4 thousand illegal border crossings of the Slovenian border.
