Mobbing without reaction

  We very often encounter modern terminology and very often recall such descriptions from the past. One such example is mobbing, which modern terminology refers to bullying in the workplace. In order for mobbing to be legally defined as mobbing, it must be carried out at least once a week and for a longer period of six months.

Mobbing is the modern definition of psychological terror of a superior over subordinates, which was called bossing. However, we do not know of a society, not even a socialist one, where there would be no boss and subordinates. Among them are working relationships and relationships where you can actually keep quiet about your boss, because the boss is always right. Those who teach you to "talk the boss down" can bring you at least to the brink of professional and work collapse, if not over the edge into the abyss.

A new form is also said to be horizontal mobbing, although it reminds me of a very old form of competition for a higher position or higher salary and better working conditions. Of course, bullying was always used in this. The old form is called simply competition for higher wages or promotion and the use of legitimate and/or illegitimate instruments. Illegitimate instruments are said to be family ties, forgery of certificates required for promotion and of course also erasure and/or appropriation of other people's work or inventions or simple slander or spreading lies that could be prevented by checking. "Don't work, but look for a fool who will work either physically or intellectually" is also not an invention of the current century.

The third form of mobbing is said to be staffing, where workers use, individually or in groups, systematic pressure on superiors. Since the introduction of manufacturing, we have known fighters for higher wages and better working conditions. In more recent times, such groups of workers are known as unions. From history, we also know of peasant revolts, when farmers tried to win lower taxes and better protected agricultural property. How justified the strikes and revolts were and what their legitimacy was is again a matter of personal and social judgment through the historical axis of social systems.

The currently defined categories of mobbing in the workplace, which can destroy you professionally or at work, or even socially and family-wise, are the following:

An attack on expression is reflected in interruptions during speech, shouting or ignoring your opinion.

Social isolation means that colleagues avoid you, do not invite you to meetings or transfer you to a separate office.

An attack on reputation is defined as spreading untruths, gossiping, making fun of your personality or private life.

An attack on the quality of work is manifested in the assignment of meaningless tasks, taking away all obligations or imposing impossible deadlines.


 These categories are certainly worth our reflection and also in the event of such phenomena of reaction, in order to prevent our own downfall and enable others to achieve their goal through our corpses by using illegitimate means.

I could probably find some more cases of oppression or lobbying or mobbing, who will take more and pay less, or even appropriate someone else's property or work and use workers for free. Or maybe we even know a case where workers work for nothing, expecting payment for their work. Thus, we can simply conclude that mobbing is not a phenomenon of the so-called modern era. At most, we can observe some revaluations and renamings of old relations between employers and employees and their competition between classes and within classes, which have always existed. However, we cannot deny that we do not encounter certain components in a private environment and in the family and kinship circle.

The postulate of the victim of old and new mobbing for one reason or another is variable. Who is the victim and who is the perpetrator depends on the values of the individual society and of course also on the authorities and the system of rewards and sanctions. 

Mobbing, past or present, will still be difficult to prove in court and clear your name and receive appropriate compensation.
